Centos7 にてYou have new mail in /var/spool/mail/root を非表示にした

環境

Centos7

背景

Centos7 にてYou have new mail in /var/spool/mail/root
という通知がコマンド実行の度に表示されていました。

この通知がうっとおしいので非表示の方法について調べてみます。

解決策

vi /etc/crontab
　
MAILTO=root から　MAILTO=“”に変更

その後、再起動後、表示されなくなりました。
