DokkuのNginxをlua module付きに更新

Dokkuをインストールした環境ではNginxチームが保守するNginx1.6.x(stable)のリポジトリが導入される。
このリポジトリを含め、debian系が提供するnginx-extrasはちょっといいモジュールが追加してビルドしたNginxのパッケージだ。

特に注目はEmbedded Lua。Spdyも目立つがこちらは標準でも含まれているので。

ちなみにアプリケーションファイアーウォールが使いたい場合、nginx-naxsi(WAF for NGINX)というのもある。

nginx-extras 1.6.xの導入

apt-getで入れよう。

# apt-get install nginx-extras

これだけでOK。

サンプル

で、前回のDokkuでアプリ別のカスタムNginx設定 - Qiita と組み合わせて。

nginx.inc.confを次のようにluaでコンテンツを返すように書いてみます。

}

Dokkuにアプリをデプロイして、/luaにアクセス。

$ curl -k https://sinatra-test.example.com/lua
Hello,lua module!

できた。

$APP/ENVから値を取るようにnginx内で仕込めればフロントエンドとして使いやすくなりそう。

追記：
とりあえずのお勧めは、nginx.confにenv DOKKU_ROOT=/home/dokku;あたりを書いておくとよさそう。
