本記事は、free5GCとUERANSIMを使用して、N9インターフェースによるULCL(Uplink Classifier)を使用する簡単な設定について説明します。これにより、I-UPF(Intermediary UPF)、PSA-UPF(PDU Session Anchor UPF)を組み合わせて、特定のUEについて、指定したネットワークに向かうパケットを分岐させることで、MEC等で柔軟にルーティングする際のヒントになることを期待しています。
なお、5GCのコア網に登場する各NF(Network Function)の役割やインターフェースについて概ね知っていることを期待して書いており、これらの説明は省略します。

free5GC 5GCのシミュレーション携帯網の概要
このシミュレーション環境は以下の条件を満たす最小構成になります。
- I-UPFは、宛先ホスト/ネットワークに応じて通信路を選択します。
構築したシミュレーション環境は以下の通りです。この構成では、I-UPF(VM2)がローカルのDockerネットワークに通信可能であることが必要です。
5GCとUE/RANに使用しているOSSは以下の通りです。

N9インターフェースによるULCL(Uplink Classifier)を使用することで、特定のUEについて、指定したネットワークに向かうパケットを分岐させ、柔軟にルーティングすることができるようになります。これは、MECの観点から重宝な機能と思います。
