新規アカウント作成時後に、AWSより以下の内容のメールが届いた。

As a new customer, you can launch Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instances in 3 AWS Regions. If you prefer other Regions, then contact us through the Support Center: (please click here)
Let us know which 3 Regions are more convenient for you. You can find the list of Regions and the services that are available in each at http://aws.amazon.com/about-aws/globalinfrastructure/regional-product-services/.
Make sure that you aren't running EC2 instances in the Region that you're transitioning from.
If you have a use case that requires you to run EC2 instances in more than 3 Regions, then contact us through the Support Center: (please click here)
Describe your use case, and we'll increase the number of available Regions.
Note: This limitation is temporary and only affects EC2. Other AWS services are available in all Regions.
Asia Pacific (Tokyo) ap-northeast-1 のサービスクォータ Running On-Demand Standard (A, C, D, H, I, M, R, T, Z) instancesが 0 となっていた。
レイテンシーを考えると東京リージョンを使いたいので、サポートにコンタクトをとる。
以下のような内容のサポートケースで、使いたいリージョンを連絡。
- Service: Account
- Category: Other Account Issues
- Severity: General question
- Subject: Request to Change Region for EC2 Launch
- Description:
I would like to be able to launch EC2 instances in the following three regions:- US East (N. Virginia) us-east-1
- US West (Oregon) us-west-2
- Asia Pacific (Tokyo) ap-northeast-1
1日経って、対応したとのレスポンス。
AWS default quota value が 5 だから、クォータ引き上げもしておけばと思ってたけど、32 でセットされていた。
後日見たら 64 だった。
見間違いだったのか、更に増えたのかわからないけど、東京リージョン以外の利用リージョンは 32 だった。
