環境変数CFLAGSに"-m64"を追加してconfigure && make && make install するのが簡単
export CFLAGS="-m64"
x系のヘッダがないと怒られる場合は、
sudo apt-get install xorg-dev
とする。ubuntu 12.04 lts 64bitではこれでいけた。
ちなみに32bit互換のライブラリを入れて何とかする方法もあるけど、-m64を追加するほうが簡単だった。
