線形空間には必ず0がありますが、他にも存在が保証される特別な組があり、それが基底です。

基底ベクトルとは、二次元、三次元それぞれの場合で空間上のあらゆるベクトルを v=xa+yb の形で表すことを可能にするベクトルの組み合わせ(一対)のことです。

ベクトルの線型独立(「一次独立」ともいう)とは、一言でいうと「空間における基底ベクトルがすべてゼロベクトルではなく、平行関係にない状態」のことです。
