docker composeコンテナ内でcommitしようとすると以下のようになりました。
root@69c25a1648e3:/myapp# git commit -v

この場合はエラーメッセージに従っていかのようにすればOKです。
root@69c25a1648e3:/myapp# git config --global user.email "myemail@example.com"
root@69c25a1648e3:/myapp# git config --global user.name "me"
その次にcommitしようとするとまたまたエラーが出ました。
root@69c25a1648e3:/myapp# git commit -v
hint: Waiting for your editor to close the file... error: cannot run editor: No such file or directory
error: unable to start editor 'editor'
Please supply the message using either -m or -F option.
vimを使えるようにするために以下のようにすればOKです(apt-get update、apt-get install vim)。
VSCodeでコミットメッセージ書きたい場合はまた別のやり方があります。
