アプリケーションの作成と下準備

まずは以下のコマンドでバージョンをチェック

rails -v
Rails6.0.3

もし違うバージョンがインストールされているかどうかを次のコマンドで確認

gem list rails

ない場合は次のコマンドでインストール

gem i -v 6.0.3 rails

rails newには様々なオプションがあるので適宜使用する。

Description:
    The 'rails new' command creates a new Rails application with a default
    directory structure and configuration at the path you specify.

    You can specify extra command-line arguments to be used every time
    'rails new' runs in the .railsrc configuration file in your home directory,
    or in $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/rails/railsrc if XDG_CONFIG_HOME is set.

    Note that the arguments specified in the .railsrc file don't affect the
    defaults values shown above in this help message.

Example:
    rails new ~/Code/Ruby/weblog

    This generates a skeletal Rails installation in ~/Code/Ruby/weblog.

Hamlの導入

	メリット	デメリット
Slim	記述量が少なくなる	HTMLタグとそれ以外に差がなく、混同しやすい
ERB	HTMLに近いため最終的な出力がわかりやすい、 JSXを利用している場合同じ形式でテンプレートを記述できる	記述量が多くなる

gemのバージョンアップ戦略

GitHub Dependabotが有用、９章で後述

Dependabot は、GitHub がホストしているボットで、リポジトリ内の依存関係をチェックし、必要に応じてアラートの通知や、更新の候補をプルリクエストとして発行してくれます。主に、下記の機能を担います。

Dependabot alerts 脆弱性が検知されたとき、アラートの通知を行う
Dependabot security updates 検知された脆弱性に対して、対策を提案する
Dependabot version updates 各種パッケージのバージョンの更新をチェックし、通知および対策を提案する

bulletというgemを使うことで自動でN＋1を検知して、ログに出力したり、アラートを出したりなどの通知が可能
