open-vm-toolsとな？

VMware vSphere上の仮想マシンに当たり前のように入れていたVMware Toolsが、
VMware社よりESXiにバンドルされているVMware Toolsではなく各Linuxディストリビューションが提供しているopen-vm-toolsの利用を推奨している。

CentOSの場合はこれで行けた

yum -y install open-vm-tools
