【3D Object Detection】Behind the Curtain

概要

Point CloudのOcculusion問題を解決する為にデータをAugmentする
以下の2つを仮定する

  • 物体は左右対称である
  • 同じカテゴリーの物体は大体同じ形をしている

左右に反転させた点と他のサンプルを一つのデータに統合する事が出来る

この方法を利用する事で(a)の入力データに対して(b)のOccupancy Ground Truthを作る事が出来る。(c)の球体の3D Convolutionのネットワークを使って、(d)のようなOccupancy Probabilityを推定する事が出来る。
