事象

guacamole-serverをインストールする過程で以下のエラーが発生した。

# ./configure --with-init-dir=/etc/init.d
<省略>
config.status: error: in `/root/temp/guacamole-server-1.4.0':
config.status: error: Something went wrong bootstrapping makefile fragments
    for automatic dependency tracking.  Try re-running configure with the
    '--disable-dependency-tracking' option to at least be able to build
    the package (albeit without support for automatic dependency tracking).

結論（対処）

makeコマンドをインストールしてあげたあとに./configureする。

# apt install make
<省略>
# ./configure --with-init-dir=/etc/init.d

おわりに

guacamoleやmakeコマンドは今まで経験がなかったのでよくわかっていないことが多いです。気づくのに時間がかかってしまったけど、こんな初歩的なこと同じように悩んだ人いるのかな、と思いながらも一応記事にしました。
