回帰分析

回帰分析とは

『一方の大きさが他方の大きさをどの程度説明できるかを定量的に分析すること』

単回帰分析

  • 1つの特徴量のみ を用いて目的変数を予測するための手法。

重回帰分析

  • 複数の特徴量 を用いて目的変数を予測するための手法。

例

あるデータセットには、売上を予測するための複数の特徴量（広告費、販売員の数、製品価格など）が含まれています。

  • 単回帰分析：広告費だけを使って売上を予測
  • 重回帰分析：広告費、販売員の数、製品価格を使って売上を予測
