rbenvを使っていて、別のバージョンのrubyで
かつ久しぶりに chromedriver を起動したら動かないことがあった。
$ gem uninstall chromedriver-helper
- remove it from rbenv shims (which chromedriver for that)
- Download directly http://chromedriver.storage.googleapis.com/index.html
- plug chromedriver somewhere on the $PATH (I just plopped in ~/bin)
上記手順を参考に、自分の環境にあるchromedriverを削除して、
改めて最新版の chromedriver を直接サイトからダウンロードしてきて、
/Users/ユーザー名/.rbenv/shims/chromedriver
てな感じで配置してやりました。
