東芝のノートPCにxubuntuを入れたらタッチパッドが反応しなくなったのを解決

東芝のdynabook MX/36MBL をもらい受けて、OSをxubuntuに入れ替えたところ、タッチパッドが全く効かなくなりました。

ここが全く無反応です。

いろいろ探した結果、こちらの指示に従ったところ、解決しました。

Turn computer off. Remove all attachments and the battery. Press power button for 15 seconds. Replace power connection and battery. Start Computer and press F2 at the Toshiba splash screen to get into Setup. Press F9 to reset defaults. Press F10 to save changes and exit and answer yes to complete. Computer will restart.

• 起動時にF2キーで割り込み、BIOS設定ページを出して、
• F9でデフォルトに再設定、
• F10で保存して再起動。

今ではきびきび動いています。大切に使いたいと思います。
