Flutterでファイルを読み込む時にエラー

コード上でfinal String rankJson = await rootBundle.loadString("assets/json/ranking.json");
で以下のエラーが発生

Unable to load asset ~ The asset does not exist or has empty data (even though the file is there)

原因はpubspeck.yamlにassetsを指定していなかったことだった
assets:
- assets/
- assets/json/　　　　←　追加
