VMWareの自分向けMEMO

会社ではESXi6.5、自宅ではVMWare Workstationを使用しているので、自分向けのメモを残しておく。

VMWare Workstation

VM作成時

ファームウェアタイプ

セキュアブートにはしない。
セキュアブートはUEFIの場合に使える、ルートキット系ウイルスを防ぐ仕組み。
ただしWindows OS8以降などOS側での対応が必要になり、対応していないLinux系ディストリビューションでは起動しなくなる。

プロセッサ構成

自宅のskylake Core i3は2コア4スレッド。

プロセッサ数やプロセッサごとのコア数を変更することにより、ホストのCPUがどう変更になるかを後で検証する。

ディスク容量の指定

仮想ディスクを単一ファイルとして格納に変更する。
ファイルを分割すると2GB単位に分けられるため。
