以下URLからUbuntu14.04 armhfのルートファイルシステムをダウンロードできます。
なお、今回はwgetで取得しますのでwebサイトにおけるダウンロードはいりません。

ワークスペースにファイルシステムをダウンロードします。
$ cd ~/work_dir

ダウンロードしたファイルシステム用のディレクトリを作成し、展開します。
以下のコマンドで展開に失敗する場合はGUIからも展開できます。
$ mkdir ubuntu_rootfs
$ cd ubuntu_rootfs
$ tar -Jxvf ../ubuntu-trusty-14.04-armhf.com-20140603.tar.xz
展開に成功すると以下のようなディレクトリができます。

Zybo上でUbuntuを起動するために、SDカード(microSD)にパーティションを作成します。
使用するSDカードは8GB以上をおすすめします。
UbuntuマシンにSDカードを挿入したあと、lsblkでマウント状況を確認しましょう。
以下の場合では/dev/sdcとしてマウントされています。

fdiskコマンドでパーティションを作成します。SDカードのパーティションが何もないところから始めてください。
まず、第1パーティションを作成します。このパーティションはブートローダやLinuxカーネルが入ります。

書き込みが完了したら、Zyboにシリアル接続時、ログインできるようにするため、設定ファイルを作成します。

Zyboと母艦PCをUSBケーブルで接続してください。
