Abstract
There are many paths where users can communicatewith wired and/or wireless links. Multiple links areused at the same time and in the same place. In thesesituations, users can select a better path by measuringthe path characteristics. This is also issue in Mobile IPtriangle routing [A Mobile IP expansion on pre/post-registration and selection of route optimization][A study on Mobile IP route optimization]. Upload and download trafficis significantly different at short period. For pathselection, a one-way measurement is needed, thus thispaper proposes a one-way differential delay which canbe used easily to select a better path. We havedeveloped a prototype and simulation system.
