ページ数の多いTeX文書を作成する際に、部分的（表紙だけ等）に余白の設定を変えたい場合には、プリアンブルに
\usepackage[a4paper]{geometry}
を追加し、変更したいページの部分で、
\newgeometry{left=3cm,bottom=1cm}
を追加すると余白の変更が行えます。
formatをもとに戻すには、
\restoregeometry
を書きましょう！
