highlight-regexpを使えば、ソースを読んでいるときなど特定のキーワードに注目したいときに色をつけることができます。
標準の機能なので特にインストールは不要です。下記で実行します。
M-x highlight-regexp
キーワードの入力が求められるので、色をつけたいキーワードを正規表現で入力します。次に背景色を指定することができます。hl-色もしくはhl-色-bという形式で指定します。
