Ubuntu 18.04でGoogle Chromeを使っていて、外部モニターを接続したり、接続を切ったりするとフリーズする事象が発生していた。
Stack Exchangeを参考に、設定 > 詳細設定 > ハードウェア アクセラレーションが使用可能な場合は使用するのチェックを外すとなんか直った。
MacとかWindowsでもこの方法で直ってるっぽいです。
