Lenovo Ideapad S540(14)へのDebian 10.2インストール

まえおき

単純にはDebian 10.2.0のインストーラでインストールできなかったので、メモとして残しておきます。誰かの参考になれば幸い。debianのインストールの仕方は記載しませんので、他の記事やサイトを参考にしてください。

はまったところ

• Wifiが認識しない。ネットワークインストールでは致命的。
• Graphics (i915) が認識しない。

やったこと

別のPCでダウンロードしておいたsidのパッケージを、USBメモリ経由で移して手動でインストール。

• sid/linux-image-amd64.deb :インストール時はlinux-image-5.4.0-3-amd64_5.4.13-1_amd64.debでした。
• sid/firmware-iwlwifi :インストール時はfirmware-iwlwifi_20190717-2_all.debでした。

# dpkg -i \
  linux-image-5.4.0-3-amd64_5.4.13-1_amd64.deb \
  firmware-iwlwifi_20190717-2_all.deb

最新パッケージに更新するだけで動くようになるなんて、コミュニティの対応に感謝です。ありがとうございます。

もしかしたらdevelのインストーラを使ったらはまらなかったかもしれない。

備考

チップセット等で同様の世代でも同じ現象が起きるかもしれないので、ハードウェアスペックを晒しておきます。
