Microsoft Edge の HTML5 video を検証しました。

結論

no plugin での HTML5 video をネイティブサポート

細かくみると

  • FlashなどのpluginなしでHLSとMPEG-DASHの再生をネイティブサポート
  • Media Source Extensions (MSE)もネイティブサポート
  • Encrypted Media Extensions (EME) and Common Encryption (CENC) もネイティブサポート

つまり、DASH EME / PlayReady によるpluginなしの次世代DRMに対応

検証環境

  • Windows 10 Pro - 64 bit
  • Microsoft Edge - 20.10240.16384.0
