terminalから以下のコマンドを実行し、macをログオフあるいは再起動。
sudo chmod 600 /System/Library/CoreServices/Search.bundle/Contents/MacOS/Search
再度表示する場合は
sudo chmod 755 /System/Library/CoreServices/Search.bundle/Contents/MacOS/Search
アイコンを非表示にしてもfinder等から検索出来ます。
