エラー発生

手持ちのMacに、Laravelの開発環境であるHomesteadをインストールする途中で、エラーが発生した。

$ vagrant box add laravel/homestead
The box 'laravel/homestead' could not be found or
could not be accessed in the remote catalog. If this is a private
box on HashiCorp's Atlas, please verify you're logged in via
`vagrant login`. Also, please double-check the name. The expanded
URL and error message are shown below:

URL: ["https://atlas.hashicorp.com/laravel/homestead"]
Error: The requested URL returned error: 404 Not Found

box名の綴りを見直したり、vagrant loginのためのアカウントが必要なのか？と、ちょっと困ったが、理由はvagrantが古いことだった。（昔、インストールしたままMacを開発環境として使わなくなったていたので）

$ vagrant --version
Vagrant 1.8.1

解決

Vagrantをアップデートした。以下のサイトからdmgファイルをダウンロードし、インストール。
https://www.vagrantup.com/downloads.html

ちなみにvagrant_2.2.4_x86_64.dmg

$ vagrant --version
Vagrant 2.2.4

これでエラーがでなくなった

$ vagrant box add laravel/homestead
