Define cloud computing.

Cloud computing is the delivery of computing services including common IT infrastructure such as networking, databases, storage, and virtual machines.

Cloud computing is delivered over the internet, thus it doesn't have to be constrained by physical infrastructure any more. This allows us to not wait to build a new datacenter when a arpid increase of IT infrastructure is needed.
Describe the shared responsibility model

The responsibilities maintaining the cloud services get shared between the cloud provider and the consumer.

Cloud provider is always responsible for:
- physical datacenter
- physical network
- physical hosts

Consumer is always responsible for
- data and information stored in the cloud
- devices that are allowed to connect to the consumer's cloud such as cell phones, computers, etc.
- Accounts and identities of the people, services, and devices within consumer's organization.

Responsibility of some things such as listed below, depends on the situation. The consumer's service model determine the responsibility.
- Operating systems
- Network controls
- Applications
- Identity and infrastructure

With an on-premises datacenter, consumer is responsible for everything.
