TODOプログラムマネージャーをつとめていますアナです。日本語を学んでいますので、少し日本語を話すことができます。よろしく。
私は５年前からOSSに関与しています。TODO/LFに入る前に、Bitergia で働いていました (OSとInnerSource開発分析の会社)。その時は、私もデータ サイエンスの修士号を受けて
最終論文は「オープンソース コミュニティでのDevRel の成功を測定する方法」でした。
現在は主に、TODOGroup, OpenChain, InnerSource Commons と CHAOSS のオープン ソース コミュニティに私は参加しています。私は、OSSコミュニティにとても感謝しています。だから、私はOSS コミュニティをずっと手伝い続けたいので、コードを超えたオープン ソースのベスト プラクティスについて、より多くの人々を教育したいと思っています。
🧩 OSPOについて

I’m really grateful for the opportunity to write this article about TODO and OSPOs. First, let me introduce myself!
I’m Ana and work in TODO group /Linux foundation as a program manager. Also, since I’m learning Japanese, I can understand and speak a bit of Japanese. Nice to meet you!
I have been involved in OSS for 5 years. Before joining TODO/LF, I worked at Bitergia (OS and InnerSource development analytics company). At that time, I finished my master's degree in data science, and my final thesis was called “How to Measure DevRel's Success in the Open Source Community”.
I currently contribute to TODOGroup, OpenChain, InnerSource Commons, DevRel Spain and CHAOSS open source communities and I’m really grateful to the OS community. That’s why I want to keep helping the OSS community so I want to educate more people about open source best practices beyond code.
About OSPOs
What is an OSPO and why is becoming more important in open source? Let’s dive in!
Open source ad-hoc vs strategic open source
The world runs on software, and software runs in open source. In 2022, 78% of applications have open source components. However, open source is a complex ecosystem, it requires investment and effort from organizations.
In order to become good “open source citizens”, open source requires a strong strategy that encompasses open source usage, participation, contribution, and leadership. This requires incremental effort and investment within an organization.
OSPO has five main benefits:
- Culture: OSPOs help to build the cultural gap between traditional software development practices and the requirements of open source development.
- Education: OSPOs can improve technical mentorship and compliance education across different teams in an organization.
- Continuity: OSPOs enable continuity in executive support and funding.
- Tools: OSPOs improve and develop tools to automate their processes to support open-source development models.
- Processes: OSPOs set up internal processes to streamline open source development (compliance, upstream contribution, etc).
About TODO
One size does not fit all. Your OSPO is not my OSPO. That’s why we need to find ways to collaborate to find more diverse OSPO patterns.
TODO is a community of OSPO practitioners. We help each other and collaborate on various methods and tools to help create effective open source projects and programs.
TODO also collaborates with sister open source projects like open chain and its OSPO SIG group. Good examples from this collaboration are the OSPOlogy project or the OSPOCon Japane event.
