SATAとは何かをまとめる

はじめに

自作PCなどで単語だけは見かけて知った気になっていたsataについて深堀して理解を深める。

概要

SATA
インターフェース規格の１つ
SSDにおけるインタ―フェイスとは、主にSSDとPCを接続する際に用いる。

なおこれらのインターフェイス規格は通信速度に関わる仕様とセットで表記される。
例: 「SATA Ⅲ」、「6Gbps SATA」など

同一規格内での互換性を有しているため「6Gbps SATA対応SSD」を「3Gbps対応SATAポート」に接続することが可能
但し、遅い方の規格に速度を合わせて通信するので性能が十分に発揮できない場合がある。
