• Basic Question for Enhanced Domain Effect on Experience Cloud and Salesforce Sites

• Production Org: Since our My Domain name didn't change, the login process for users was unaffected.

• Digital Experience Sites: The URL domain for our Digital Experience sites changed as expected ("my.site.com" in place of "force.com"). Going to the old URL automatically redirects to the new URL, so users aren't negatively impacted and there is plenty of time to inform users of the change.

• Salesforce Site: This was my biggest concern. The URL changed for our Salesforce Site, as expected ("my.salesforce-sites.com" in place of "secure.force.com"). Our My Domain name replaced the different name we had used as the beginning of the URL, but this makes sense. We really only use this site as part of the Volunteers for Salesforce package, and even then only for the Volunteer Personal Site that volunteers use to log their hours. As with the other Enhanced Domain changes, going to an old link for this Salesforce Site automatically redirects to the new URL. This is true also for the Volunteer Personal Site URL, which is important because we didn't need to immediately give the new URL to all the volunteers. In addition to the changes made by Enhanced Domains, I also updated the custom field formula that creates the URL for the Volunteer Personal Site that we give to volunteers, so that it results in a URL with the updated domain. I then did a mass email with this updated field to let all active volunteers know about the new URL. Obviously, new volunteers will be given the new URL from the start.
