Skypeの多重起動(特にMac(備忘))

2017年11月18日において、少なくとも macOS においては、このやり方でデスクトップアプリの Skype を多重起動させることはできません。

やりかた例(参考元の引用)

$ open -na /Applications/Skype.app --args -DataPath /Users/$(whoami)/Library/Application\ Support/Skype2

  • つまり -DataPath オプションで、異なる保存先を指定する
  • open の -n は2つめ以降のアプリを新しく立ち上げる指定
  • open の -a はアプリケーションを起動するという指定
  • open の --args は、そのアプリのコマンドライン引数として、それに続く文字列を渡す
  • Application\ Support の \ は、スペースで区切らないようにしてる
  • $(whoami) は今のユーザ名を取ってくる
