inputに予期せぬくぼみや影が付いてる💦

そんなあなたのブラウザは、GoogleChromeではないでしょうか？

こんな時は、

「-webkit-appearance:none;」

をCSSに書き込むのが定番です。

しかしながら、これでも解決しないこともあります。そんな時は、大人しく「border」を設定しましょう。
