Configuration

Basic

  1. Enable ipv6 unicast-routing on the router
  2. Configure ospfv3 process with the command router ospfv3 process-id
  3. Configure the router id with the command router-id router-id
  4. (Optional) Initialize the address family with the command address-family {ipv4 | ipv6} unicast
  5. Enable ospfv3 on a interface with the command ospfv3 process-id ipv6 area area-id

Router ID is a 32-bit value, can be IPv4 format and need be unique in OSPF domain.
