標準出力をファイルに上書き保存する

$ echo 'hoge' > sample.txt

標準出力をファイルに追記する保存する

$ echo 'hoge' >> sample.txt

改行を表現したい場合

-eオプションをつける

$ echo -e "aaa\nbbb\nccc" > sample.txt

or

$ echo -e aaa\\nbbb\\nccc > sample.txt
