増え続ける Dockerfile 用の GitHub Repository をなんとかする

More than 1 year has passed since last update.

色々思ったこと

  • Dockerfile がついていない Docker Image は pull したくない.
  • Dockerfile をつけるために,Docker repository と GitHub repository を連携させ,GitHub に Dockerfile を置き,Automated Build で Build する.
  • その際,GitHub に push する度に Build されるし,README.md が勝手に DockerHub の Description へ引っ張られていく.
  • そのため,Docker Image 一つにつき,GitHub repository を一つ確保しなければならなくなる.
  • 増え続ける GitHub repository,,,
  • なんとかする.

なんとかしたこと

GitHub 側の設定

  • Dockerfiles という名前の repository を作成し,それぞれに Docker Image の directory を作る.
  • ルートディレクトリの README.md にはあまり書かない.
  • それぞれのディレクトリの中に Dockerfile と README.md を置き,こちらの README.md にきちんと Description を書く.
  • この README.md が DockerHub の Description へと引っ張られる.

DockerHub 側の設定

  • Image の repository に行って,Build Setting のタブを開く.
  • When active, builds will happen automatically on pushes. の check を外す.
  • Dockerfile Location を GitHub の Dockerfile を置いた directory にする.
  • Save Changes を押す.
  • Trigger を押す.

結果

なんとかなった.
