PowerMockito.when()が全然うまくいかなくて困った話

PowerMockito.when(sut, "privateMethod", "parameter").thenReturn("pleaseReturnThis");

って書いても全く反応してくれなくてハマった。

PowerMockito.doReturn("pleaseReturnThis").when(sut, "privateMethod", "parameter");

こう書いたら"pleaseReturnThis" 返してくれた！
