公式にはUbuntu のパッケージはあるが，Debian のものはない．
以下のGist を使わせてもらう．

$ sh 4231563/steam_bootstrap.sh
これだけでSteam が入る．
初回起動時にはアーカイブ落として導入の続きが走る．
そのあとアカウント登録．
Demos の2p 目あたりにあった．「The Book of Unwritten Tales: The Critter Chronicles」を入れてみた．
NotePC のオンボードですが結構普通に動いてるような感じです．
