動作環境

WRF 3.7.1 on CentOS 6.8 (64bit)

WRF(Weather Research and Forecasting Model)に関して。

2種類のモデル

Land Useモデルというのが以下の2種類から選択できる。

• MODIS IGBP 21-category data
  • default
• USGS land-cover classification

注意点

It must be emphasized that the MODIS-based categories should only be used with the Noah land surface model in WRF.

MODIS / USGSの使用切替

MODIS利用

geog_data_res = ‘default’, ‘default’,

USGS利用

geog_data_res = ‘usgs_30s+default’, ‘usgs_30s+default’,

GEOGRID.TBLファイルのサーチが変わるようだ。

num_land_cat

参考リンクに以下の記載あり。

When changing from the default 21-class MODIS land-use data, the user must also ensure that the num_land_cat namelist variable is set correctly in &physics namelist record in the WRF namelist.input file. For 24-class USGS data, num_land_cat should be set to 24.

defaultのMODISから変更時には WRF用namelist.input のnum_land_catの設定が必要。
