はじめに
pgpoolの起動時に下記のようなエラーが発生した場合の対処例を記載する。
$ pgpool -n -f /etc/pgpool-II/pgpool.conf >& /tmp/pgpool.log &
$ cat /tmp/pgpool.log
FATAL: invalid watchdog configuration. other pgpools setting is not defined
対処法
エラーメッセージの通りで、watch_dogが有効になっているが、リモートのpgpoolホストが指定されていない場合に上記のエラーが発生する。
/etc/pgpool-II/pgpool.confに下記のような設定を追記する。
other_pgpool_hostname0 = '192.168.10.2' # <- リモートホストのアドレス、またはホスト名を指定
other_pgpool_port0 = 9999
other_wd_port0 = 9000
