aws-cli で preview 機能を使う

まず、aws-cli のどの機能が Preview 版なのかは PyPI か GitHub のコードを参照します。

version 1.3.1 現在、preview として提供されているのは以下の4サービス。

• cloudsearch
• cloudfront
• emr
• sdb

例として cloudfront を有効にしてみる。

$ aws configure set preview.cloudfront true

aws cloudfront の使い方はヘルプを参照。

$ aws cloudfront help

実は試しに aws cloudfront を叩けば preview を有効にする方法は出てきます。ユーザーフレンドリー（このエントリの存在意義が問われている）。

$ aws cloudfront

This service is only available as a preview service.

However, if you'd like to use a basic set of cloudfront commands with the
AWS CLI, you can enable this service by adding the following to your CLI
config file:

    [preview]
    cloudfront=true

or by running:

    aws configure set preview.cloudfront true

aws-cli、git 風味なサブコマンドが豊富でかつヘルプが充実していてとても使いやすいのでオススメです。シェル芸で何でも片付けてしまいそうになります。

わからなくてもコードが追いやすいのも Pythonista には嬉しいところ。
