IE と Chrome でしか試していないので、厳密に IE だけ、とは言い切れず、あまり多くのパターンを試していないのですが、例えば、
から、自分自身にリンクさせるとき、
<a href="">このページへアクセスするリンク</a>
とすると、Chrome の場合、hoge.html にアクセスできるのですが、IE の場合、
にアクセスしてしまう模様です。
