EC2インスタンスのAMI作成中にインスタンスを起動して良いのか？

お世話になります。
AWSキッチンのシェフです。

AWS上のサーバのバックアップを取りたいときにAMIの作成を行うことがあります。
作成のために一度停止してからAMIの作成を行うのですが、AMI作成中に対象のインスタンスを起動して良いのものなのか実は今まで悩んでいました。

progressが100％になるまで起動してAMIの作成が失敗するのが嫌だなーと思っていたのですが、
サポートに確認したところ作成中にも起動してよいという回答をいただけました。

これからは安心してバックアップのために裏側でAMI作成中にも起動することができます。
