Ubuntu 14.04 を使っていて、最新機能に手が届きやすくなって快適。なのだけど、調子に乗って際どいところを攻めていくと kernel crash を引き起こすことがある。
ドキュメントにあるように、linux-crashdump をインストールする。Release specific notes の記述が単に足りていないのか、追加作業が必要。
/etc/default/kdump-tools を編集して USE_KDUMP=1 にしておくこと。
