Custom Keyboard の高さは viewWillAppear:animated で設定する

永らく悩まされていたカスタムキーボードの高さが AutoLayout で設定できない問題がようやく解決した。

参考は下記の記事。
iOS 8 & iOS 9 Custom Keyboard - Custom Height

タイトルそのままなのだけど、 viewDidLoad で constraint を設定しても何故か高さが設定できない。
UIInputViewController の中の viewWillAppear:animated で constraint を追加すると設定した通りの高さになる。

ただ何故できないのかは、Appleのドキュメントには記載がなく、記事を書いた人も分からない。僕も分からない。 Apple がそうしたとしか言えない。
