いつからかわかりませんが、なんとなく2段階認証を導入したあとあたりからいくら push しても GitHub で草が生えなくなりました。多分何かを見落としていたのだと思いますが、
$ git config --global user.email <your-github-name>@users.noreply.github.com
とやると草が生えるようになりました。
