コードを Kobito に貼り付けたら、直線型の引用符「' "」が曲線型の「‘ “」に変換され、コードが実行できなくなり困りました。
実は Mac OS X の「スマートクオート」（smart quotes）という機能が原因なんです。
その機能が必要ないであれば、下記の図のように「System Preferences > Keyboard > Text」から無効にすることができます。
