経緯

The ClamAV update process (freshclam daemon) was not running!
If you no longer wish to run freshclam, deleting the freshclam.log
file will suppress this error message.

サーバから毎日取得しているLogwatchが嫌なエラーを出してきた。
clamavのDBがしっかり動いていない。
対処方法
対処法を探していたところ、/var/clamavディレクトリ以下にあるmain.*のファイルが2つあることを確認した。
実は、こんなログも届くことがあった。
Starting Clam AntiVirus Daemon: LibClamAV Warning: Detected duplicate databases /var/clamav/main.cvd and /var/clamav/main.cld, please manually remove one of them
main.cvd と main.cld の2つ。どちらか消さないといけないよう。
1つだけにして freshclam を実行したところ、clamavも正常に起動した。
やっぱり日々の確認・解決が大切ですね。
